Meetings on Philosophers and Love ("I filosofi e l'amore")

Accademia di Musica e Filosofia organized a second round of meetings focused on the topic of Philosophers and Love (I filosofi e l’amore) which is presented through an innovative formula of Philosophical Theatre. The Ca' Foscari Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage, Music Conservatory Benedetto Marcello, the Venetian secondary school Liceo Artistico-Musicale and Agimus Venezia worked together in order to create this event in cooperation with Ateneo Veneto. The event consists of five shows directed by Melania Cassan, Maria Vittoria Comacchi, Federica Galantucci and Letizia Michielon.

The events will take place at Ateneo Veneto in Sala Tommaseo at 5.00 pm:

• April 2nd: Eros è filosofo: Socrate e Eros nel Simposio di Platone;
• Aprile 9th: Lucrezio e la passione dell’amore;
• Aprile 16th: Leggere il Simposio nel Rinascimento: da Marsilio Ficino a Yehudah Abarbanel;
• Aprile 19th: Le conseguenze nefaste dell’amore;
• Aprile 30th: Spinoza. L'amore che all'amato amar perdona.
